Kathryn is survived by four sons, John Dirling, Roger (Vicki) Dirling, Kenneth Dirling, and Craig (Shirley) Dirling; two special daughters, Jane Ginolfi and family, and Doris Dirling; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband, Ted Dirling; four sisters; two brothers; two daughters-in-law, Bonnie and Judy; and one special son-in-law, Steve Ginolfi.
Kathryn was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to travel, go camping, play cards and bake for her family. She had a vibrant and spunky personality and truly touched and influenced the lives of everyone she met. She enjoyed writing her life story throughout many diaries which are now treasures for her family. The family wishes to give a "Special Thanks" to the entire staff at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility for the love and compassion they showed to Kathryn.
A funeral service to honor her life will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Monday, December 5, 2022 beginning at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Josh Good officiating. Interment will follow at the Jerome Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, December 4th from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. with an Order of the Eastern Star service to begin at 3:30 P.M. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility or to the Eastern Star Scholarship Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
