Kathryn Alexandra "Katie" Graye

Kathryn Alexandra ("Katie") Graye (nee – Wilson), a resident of Pinckney, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 5, 2022. She was 53 years old.
Born December 6, 1968, Katie grew up in Hartland with her parents Don and Judy Wilson, and her two sisters, Samantha and Julie. She spent her childhood living across the street from Dunham Lake. She loved swimming and would be at the beach all summer long.
Katie attended the University of Michigan-Flint pursuing a Bachelor of Psychology degree. She worked many years as a successful shoe saleswoman at Hudson's in the Twelve Oaks Mall. She loved serving people and meeting their fashion needs.
After raising her daughter Savannah, Katie cared for several senior citizens providing eldercare for them and assisting with their healthcare needs. She enjoyed working with older citizens and was greatly respected for advocating for their needs.
Katie is survived by her amazing daughter Savannah; her adoptive mother Judith Wilson; adoptive sisters Julianne (Tony) Mandriota; Samantha (Thomas) Diss; father-in-law Al Kirkon; birth mother Donna Trapp; half-sister Kathrine Trapp; cousins Karolen and Kristina Diss; many aunts and uncles, as well as several other cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Matthew Graye; adoptive father Donald Wilson; stepfather George Trapp, and mother-in-law Diane Kirkon.
A memorial visitation will be at Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Brighton, on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged in Katie's name to The Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
