Mrs. Kathryn Jeanette (Crawford) Hilley, passed from this life on June 14, 2025, in Carrollton, Georgia. Born on February 15, 1934, in Trion, Georgia, she graced this world with her warmth, love, and unwavering spirit for 91 remarkable years. Mrs. Hilley was the daughter of the late, Robert Edward Lee Crawford and the late, Addie Estella (Giles) Crawford. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hilley is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Hilley; her brothers, Robert Willis Crawford, George Thomas “Bud” Crawford, and Jacob Bert “J.B.” Crawford; and by her sisters, Frances Louise Glass and Mable Viola Palmer.

Jeanette began her professional journey at the Knitting Mill in Summerville, Georgia, where she devoted 18 years of her working life. Following her retirement from the mill, she continued to serve her community through her work in Housekeeping at Tanner Medical Center for many years. A devoted Christian, Jeanette was a cherished member of Mount Holly Church of God in Carrollton. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both joyful and challenging times, as she embodied the values of love, compassion, and service. Often referred to as the neighborhood watch of her area, she took pride in caring for and looking after her neighbors. In her spare time, Mrs. Hilley enjoyed the simple pleasures of putting puzzles together and crocheting. With a personality that was refreshingly candid, she had an unparalleled ability to express her thoughts, ensuring that everyone always understood her perspective. Those who knew her appreciated this honesty, revealing a heart that spoke boldly yet lovingly.

Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Mary Hilley of Carrollton; her daughters and sons-in-law, JeanAnne and Gary Ray of Carrollton and Gale and Ronnie Ray of Carrollton; her grandchildren and their spouses, Julie and Chet Mashburn, Tamara Ray, Shannon and Heather Ray, Valerie and Rickey Brockwell, and Amanda and John Lingerfelt; her great-grandchildren, Kyle Mashburn, Taylor Mashburn, John Robert Ray, Brennan Ray, Gracie Ray, and Emily Ray. Mrs. Hilley is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives who will carry her memory forward.

In accordance with Mrs. Hilley’s wishes, she will be cremated.
