Kathryn King Obituary
Kathryn Joan King, age 73, a resident of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Parkside Assisted Living and Memory Care in Port Charlotte, FL.
Kathryn was born on January 25, 1952, in Brownsville, TN. She worked as a retail manager nearly her entire career and retired as a kitchen designer at Home Depot. She was an animal lover and a talented artist. A free spirit, Kathryn never met a stranger and would talk to anyone from any walk of life. She loved movies and music from the 80s.
She is survived by her partner of 31 years, Ron Dewey of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her sons, Christopher Kizer of Knoxville, TN and Nathan Kizer of Franklin, TN; her grandchildren, Denver and Silas Kizer; her brother, John A. King, Jr. of Tennessee, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie King, her identical twin sister, Karen West, her sister, Sherry King and her brother, Tony King.
