Kathryn Shier Obituary
Kathryn “Kathy” Lamb Shier, 66 of Albany, died Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Her Celebration of life will be at Mathews Funeral Home on May 15, 2025 at 2p.m. Johnny Yelverton will officiate.
Born in Cuthbert, Kathy lived most of her life in Albany. She was a Legal Secretary having worked with the District Attorney’s Office and with Woodall and Pflepsen Law Office. In her free time, she like to crochet, cross stich, play solitaire and do crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years Phillip Shier, daughter, Crystal Gregory (Mike), son, Scott Shier (Diane), grandchildren, Emma Chapman (Elijah), Michael Gregory, Jr., Jonathan Gregory, Katie Gregory, Hannah Gregory, Bannon Shier, Rowan Shier, great grandchildren, William Chapman, Malenia Chapman, brothers, Emory “Bubba” Lamb (Leslie), Glenn Lamb (Rhonda) and a host of other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emory “Bo” and Margie Y. Lamb and a brother, Danny Lamb.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Donations can be made to the American Heart Association in Kathy’s name
