AHOSKIE, NC – Kathy Luke Byrum, age 67, St. John-Menola Road, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family.
Kathy was born on November 18, 1955 to Harry Coleman Luke and Lillie Louise Liverman Luke in Douglas, GA. Kathy spent most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her family and in later years she enjoyed being a CNA and taking care of others. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her granddaughters. She liked to cross stitch, paint, taking care of her house plants, and making trips to Hobby Lobby. She loved her cats and other animals as well. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Along with her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Allen Brown, II, her husband, Michael Anthony Byrum, and a brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Coleman Luke, Sr.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Amanda Beachboard and husband Dammion of Askewville; three granddaughters, Kaydee, Lillie, and Sadie Beachboard, all of Askewville; two sisters, Rhonda Luke of Williamston and Nelda Luke Little and husband Keith of Ahoskie; two brothers, Larry Felton Luke of Ahoskie, and Timothy Wade Luke of Aulander; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In celebration of Kathy's life, the family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC to allow family and friends to share memories of Kathy.
