Kathy Jo Giblin, daughter of Philip and Vernetta (Lindsay) Giblin, was born May 10, 1947, in Los Angeles, California and left the troubles of this world behind to enter her Heavenly home on May 25, 2025, at the age of seventy-eight years.
At a young age, Kathy made a profession of faith in Christ and at the time of her passing, was of the Catholic faith.
After graduating from John Marshall High School in Los Angeles, Kathy was a cosmetologist for a period of time. Later, she became a seamstress for H.D. Lee Company, where she remained for twenty-one years, until her retirement. The friendships she made during those years were genuine and lasting.
Kathy was also a natural caregiver. She took great care of her sister, Sharon, until her last days. Making sure she had all she needed.
When she wasn't working or tending to the needs of her family, Kathy enjoyed a variety of hobbies. She was crafty and artistic. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and making blankets, as well as tending to her gardens, both flower and vegetable. She was the biggest fan of her grandchildren, supporting them in every one of their various events and activities. She loved decorating and her doggies. However, laughter and memories shared with her family is what she treasured most.
Kathy is survived by four daughters, Kimberleigh Ann Jennings, Heather Leigh Ann Dameron and her husband Adam, Heidi Leighann Engram and her fiancée, Chris Blender and Jennifer Ross Early, all of Lebanon, MO; one brother, Phil Giblin and his wife Diane, also of Lebanon; ten grandchildren, Madison and her husband, Tyler, Justin, Karah, Evan and his fiancée Jamie, Zoe, Logan, David and his wife Alyssa, Jordan and his fiancée, Jenna, Shawn and his fiancée Tatum and Mila; seven great-grandchildren, Beckett, Greyson, Brailynn, Hayzen, Avery, Axel and Atlas; longtime friend and caretaker for over ten years, Lisa Sherrer; other relatives and many friends.
Those preceding her in death include her parents and one sister, Sharon Jennings.
Kathy didn't know a stranger, just friends she hadn't met yet. She loved her life and lived it in a way that required "extra sparkles." She was a force to be reckoned with, but not with a negative connotation, rather that she was noticed and respected for the beautiful person that she was. Although we will miss her and the "bedazzled" way she lived her life, we will keep her memory alive, until we meet again. What a wonderful reunion that will be.
