Kathy Mokma Obituary

Kathy was a long standing member of Family Church - Ebenezer Campus, where she served in various capacities over the years. She was a long term employee of Corewell Health where she was a supervisor of coding operations. She enjoyed reading, traveling to Shipshewana, camping, playing cards, and watching her children and grandchildren in various activities and sporting events.
Kathy is survived by her children, Jennifer (James) Addessi of Dorr, Matt (Reba) Mokma of Hamilton, Rob (Paige) Mokma of Hudsonville. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Brianna Gabrion, Brendan Gabrion (Tiernan Nykamp), Madelyn Gabrion, Luciana Addessi, Giovanni Addessi, Kolton Mokma, Easton Mokma, Deacon Mokma, Kennadi Mokma, Austin Mokma, Addison Mokma.
Also surviving are her siblings, Cal (Jane) Van Oss of Holland, Chuck (Amy) Van Oss of Hamilton, Karen Van Oss of Holland, Kristy (Alan) Brown of Holland; in-laws; Arnold (Marilyn) Mokma of Wooster, OH, Delbert (Betty) Mokma of Kentwood, and Earl (Judy) Mokma of Zeeland; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Keith Mokma, on March 10, 2025; parents, Howard and Joan Van Oss; in-laws, Lewis and Jeannette Mokma, Allen Mokma, and Marilyn Mokma.
Funeral services are planned for 11:00am Friday, June 20 at Family Church - Ebenezer Campus, 5166 East Ottogan Rd, Holland with Pastor Keith Stewart officiating. Burial will be in East Holland Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00-8:00pm Thursday, June 19, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to Family Church Ebenezer Campus Local Missions Fund. Condolences may be left online at www.langelandsterenberg.com.

I have worked with Kathy for just about 4 years now. Kathy was the biggest supporter of Maternal Fetal Medicine. She always checked in on our team and she always rooted our team on. Work related we just celebrated hitting really good numbers ( just her, myself and Sheila) as Karhy stated, ( this is prob as good as it gets Chris ) and joked about of meeting that had 28 people in it when it could prob could have just been us. Kathy goes, { Chris, I think we could have handled this one }. lol. And she smiled and laughed. I really loved talking with her and getting to know her. I met her in person randomly this year at the holland care campus and got to give her a hug. She will be so very much missed by our MFM family and especially by me. RIP Kathy. You are loved. Chris.
