Kathy Lynn Shaw, 77, was called home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was born on September 5, 1948. She is predeceased by her parents, William W and Ruth Kathryn Shaw.
Kathy most recently worked for Spectrum Management Services, where she built many cherished, lifelong firendships with tenants, contractors and property owners. She truly loved the people she worked with and took pride in helping others. Before her time at Spectrum, Kathy had worked at Oklahoma City University and American Airlines where she made wonderful memories and lasting connections,
Kathy was a proud member of Harding Charter Prep school, Class of 1966, where she played the flute and was a dedicated member of the Debette’s Pep Club. She went on to earn her master’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Kathy had a deep love for her community and the arts. She was a regular at OKC Comets baseball games, cherished evenings at the Oklahoma City Ballet, and looked forward to First Thursdays with her Harding Prep friends. Kathy was truly one of a kind. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making people seen and heard. Kathy was a true treasure, warm, compassionate and unforgettable.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Mike, of the home, along with many cherished relatives and countless special friends. Per Kathy’s wishes there will be no service. A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 18th from 10:00am-1:00pm. At Corbett Funeral home. Private burial following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy’s name to: OKC YMCA, Harding Prep Charter or to a charity of your choice.
