In Loving Memory of Kathy Sue Slone

March 13, 1951 - September 14, 2025

Kathy Sue Slone, of Seville Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025. Following a brief and unexpected, illness, Kathy passed away gently under the loving care of Cleveland Clinic Hospice surrounded by her family and holding the hand of her beloved daughter.

Kathy was born on March 13, 1951 in Welch, West Virginia to Virginia Faine and James Booth.

She was known for taking charge and being a natural leader, Kathy was the heart of her family and the one who brought everyone together and made sure things got done.

Kathy worked at Permold for many years and then went on to be an Stna where she would care for the elderly with love and devotion. She later retired and committed her time to being a compassionate grandmother.

Kathy's heart was always with her family. She loved music and dancing, often turning an ordinary evening into a moment worth remembering. She and her husband shared a beautiful love story of 50 years, full of laughter and the kind of playful bickering that showed how deeply they cared for each other. Some of Kathy's favorite moments were spent shopping with her sister, where the conversations and laughter were far more precious than anything they bought. She loved to travel, especially when it meant visiting family, and she never missed a chance to be present for life's special moments. Kathy's warmth, faith and love will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew her.

Kathy Sue Slone is joined by Virginia (Ginny) Toler (Mother), James P. Booth (Crockett) (Father), Johnny J Toler (Step-Father), Larry (Biz) Booth (Brother), Barbra Ann Mutters (Sister), James Edward Boothe (Brother), Joshua Allen Slone (Son), Brendan Scott French (Grandson).

She is survived by Orda Slone (Husband), Lisa French (Daughter) {William Paul}, Lilly French (Granddaughter), Victoria French (Granddaughter) {Aaron Shaler}, Emily French (Granddaughter) {Lance Miller}, Gavin French (Grandson), Lucia and Arlo Miller (Great Grandkids) Emmett and Owen French (Great Grandkids), Barbra Ann (Polly) Donahue (Sister) {Mike Donahue}, Helen Rivera (Sister) {Tano Rivera}.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Friday September 19, 2025 at noon, at Matteson Funeral Homes, with a reception to follow. Pastor Richard Pate will be officiating the service. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Kathy's memory by sharing music, dancing, and laughter with the ones you love, just as she would have wanted.
