Kathy A. Vieira-Schuerman, age 64 of Lima, passed at 1:36 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025. She was born February 22, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan to the late James and Wanda Hruczkowski Vieira. On September 17, 1988, she married Timothy R. Schuerman, who survives.
She was a gifted photographer and former owner of Life Style Studio in Elida, Kathy had a special ability to capture life's most meaningful moments with warmth.
Her creativity didn't stop at the camera lens-Kathy had a deep love for gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and found joy and peace in the beauty of the earth. She had a passion for cooking, where everyone was welcome to join in, laugh, and share time together.
Kathy had a special way with people. She was easy to talk to, genuinely open, and full of light. She especially cherished time with children and held a deep bond with her nieces and nephews. Her home was a place of welcome and warmth, always open to friends and family, where togetherness was not just valued, but celebrated.
Also surviving is a son – Cody J. Schuerman of Lima; 4 siblings – Pam (Shane) Heindel of Lima; Jim (Barbara) Vieira of Columbus; Michael (Lynne) Vieira of Lima; Susan (Kenny) Craig of Forest, Virginia; a bonus sister – Karen (John) Roush of Lima; a mother-in-law – Carolee (Paul, deceased) Krietemeyer of Delphos; and a father-in-law – Robert (Sally) Schuerman of Ottoville.
She was preceded in death by a brother - Randy Vieira.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Deacon Fred Herold will officiate.
A celebration of Kathy's life will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home.
