Katie S. Johnson, an indomitable spirit and cherished figure in the community, passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 78 in Augusta, Georgia. Born on March 27, 1947, in Jenkins County, Georgia, Katie dedicated her life to serving others as an Apostle for the Home of the Trinity Church. Her unwavering faith and compassionate heart earned her the admiration and love of many.
Throughout her life, Katie embodied the essence of service and love. She committed herself to her church and her community with an extraordinary passion. As an Apostle, she was a guiding light for countless souls, offering wisdom, comfort, and unwavering support. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, and she inspired all who knew her with her resilience and kindness.
Katie's legacy will continue through the many lives she touched. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen and valued, always extending a warm hand and a listening ear to those in need. Her laughter could enliven any gathering, and her stories will echo in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in her company.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her remarkable life during visitation at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held the following day at Everfaithful Missionary Baptist Church, situated at 314 Sand Bar Ferry Rd, Augusta, GA, starting at 2:30 PM, with interment following at Walker Memorial Park at 4:00 PM.
Katie leaves behind a legacy of love that will not be soon forgotten. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light, illuminating the path for all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of the countless individuals whose lives she positively influenced.
