Katrina Kuykendall Cobb, 76, of the Bethel community, entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, February 15, 2026, surrounded by her family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Katrina was a loving wife, mother, "Nanny", sister, and friend. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends, and was an avid fan of North Carolina Tarheels basketball. Katrina was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she served as church treasurer.

A lifelong resident of Haywood County, Katrina was born November 23, 1949, to the late Vaughn and Martha Cogburn Kuykendall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Hugh Kuykendall, and sister, Patsy Brookshire.

Katrina was a 1968 graduate of Pisgah High School and retired from Mission Hospital with 30 years of dedicated service in the heart cath lab.

Katrina is survived by her husband of 43 years, Earl Cobb; two daughters, Penny Brown (Jason) and April Long (Tommy); six grandchildren, Paxton Kilby (Sadie), Spencer Kilby (Rachel), and Chandler Kilby (Caroline), Kelsi Pinkston (Kane), Eli Long (Stephanie), and Zeke Long (Kendall); seven great grandsons, Jamison Kilby, Kobe Kilby, Zade Kilby, Roan Kilby, Wade Kilby, Sidney Pinkston, and Henson Long; two sisters, Lillian Creasman (Charles) of Brevard and Marylou Singleton (Daryl) of Killen, Alabama; several nieces and nephews; and a bonus son, Kevin Revis.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paxton Kilby, Chandler Kilby, Eli Long, Zeke Long, Jason Singleton, and Kevin Revis. Honorary pallbearer will be Spencer Kilby.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 261 Dix Creek Road, Canton, NC 28716.
