Kay Lynne Bruno, 77, of Colton, California, took her final, peaceful breath on October 4, 2025, at Blossom Grove Memory Care Facility.

Born in Muscatine, Iowa, to James and Victorine "Alice" Valet, Kay went on to earn her Associate's Degree from San Bernardino Valley College and spent over 40 years as Co-owner and later as owner of Inland Cash Register until she retired in 2012.

Kay is survived by John Cooper, her daughter Heather Tutton, and son Justin Bruno, her grandchildren Emily Michael, Tyler Waldon, and Kyle Waldon, her great-grandchildren Greyson Michael, Mila Kay Michael, and her sister Shelia Bennett. She was preceded in death by her

parents, her sisters "Patsy" Van Elseberg and Dale Nicoles, and her brothers William "Hoss" Valet and Mark Valet.

Kay was the beloved wife of the late Don F. Bruno -together for 28 years until his passing - and later found love again with John Cooper, who somehow survived her sharp wit and sarcasm.

She was a proud mother to Heather and Justin – who inherited her sarcasm and humor; an overly devoted Nana to Emily, Tyler, and Kyle; and a thrilled Great-Nana to Greyson and her fiery namesake, Mila Kay – who is already bossing people around in true Kay fashion.

Known for her sharp wit, quick sarcasm, and deep love for her family, Kay also took great pride in her beloved adobe home and the property she maintained like a queen guarding her castle. Her legendary Excel spreadsheets and perfectly crafted letters were both feared and admired-often at the same time.

A celebration of her extraordinary, funny, and occasionally exasperating life will be held in the coming weeks (details to follow). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation to support Parkinson's research.

And if you listen closely, you can probably still hear her saying, "I'm still the boss."
