Peter M. Bruno

Peter M. Bruno, of Mahwah, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on September 4, 2025 at the age of 63.
Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, Peter formerly resided in Palisades Park, Ridgefield, Westwood and North Haledon, New Jersey. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. While attending Palisades Park High School and Fairleigh he worked for many years at Palisades Park Paint and Hardware in Palisades Park. After graduating from Fairleigh he worked for United Merchants in Teaneck and then moved to Konica in Fort Lee, now Konica-Minolta Business Solutions located in Mahwah, New Jersey where he was the Senior Tax Director. All told, he worked for Konica for 33 years.
He was an avid stamp and coin collector and loved trains of all kinds. In his youth he liked to go fishing with his friend, Carl. He loved to travel and particularly enjoyed visiting US National Parks, Colonial Williamsburg and, of course, Alaska, his favorite destination of all.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, Michael J. and Anna Bruno (2017 and 2022), his uncle and aunt, Gerhard H. and Margaret L. Bay (2014 and 2024), and his grandparents. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph W. and Monique L. Bruno, his nieces, Haylei M., Kathryn A. and her husband, Sean, and nephew, Joseph M. all of Marietta, Georgia, his sister, Christine Bruno, of Haworth, New Jersey, and his cousins, Linda and her husband Daniel (Callahan), of Cocoa Beach, Florida, and Mark and his wife, Elizabeth (Bay), of Oviedo, Florida.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a prayer service at 11:45 AM at Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ 07649.
