David W. Caldecott, Age 64, of Hockessin, De, formerly of Palisades Park, NJ died suddenly on Tuesday November 5th at his home in Hockessin, De.
David was born in Jersey City and grew up in Palisades Park. He was a graduate of Palisades Park High School and Jersey City State University. He was presently employed at Christiana Care Medical Center in Newark, De where he worked for many years.
David was the cherished son of the late Ridgley and Marion Caldecott. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Caruso and predeceased by his brother-in-law, Anthony Caruso. He was the loving "Uncle Dave" to Laura, Anthony and Lisa and grand uncle to Keira, Juliana, Olivia and April. He is the proud godfather to Christiane and Robert and will be missed deeply by a host of cousins, uncles, aunt and friends.
David loved the sport of football and had fond memories of playing in high school and college. He was a loyal Miami Dolphins fan. David was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing any new facts or books that he was presently reading.
In lieu of flowers and if desired, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
Cremation was private. The family will receive their friends for a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 23rd from 2:00 to 6:00 PM in the Frank A. Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Directors, 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ.
