Kay Ann (Roberts) Kalbach, 86, formerly of Wernersville, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Tribute at One Loudoun, Ashburn, VA. She was the wife of the late Robert "Bob" J. Kalbach, Jr., with whom she shared 63 years of marriage before his passing on April 24, 2023.
Kay, a daughter of the late Alfred D. and Mildred C. (Reed) Roberts, Jr., was born in Pottsville. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Clair High School and a 1959 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and was very active with both alumni associations, helping organize both high school and nursing school reunions for decades. She retired in 2011 after many years in a doctor's office, having previously worked for the Reading Hospital as a registered nurse.
She was a founding member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Sinking Spring, where she volunteered as a greeter, usher and member of various committees over the years.
A diehard fan of both Penn State and Philadelphia Eagles football, she could always be found watching her favorite teams play in the fall.
She is survived by her son, Robert J. Kalbach III, husband of Stacy; two grandchildren, Joshua and Katherine; sister-in-law Judy Roberts, nieces Cheryl, Tina, Lisa and Shelly, and nephew David. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred D. Roberts, III.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, Dec. 5th, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 2848 Saint Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Visitation with the family will be held from 10-11:00 AM, Thursday, at the church. Burial will follow in Hain's Church Cemetery, Wernersville.
