Kay Nicholson, 90, of Cheyenne, passed at the Davis Hospice Center. She was born on May 17, 1933 at Valley, Nebraska to Reuben and Verna Mae Holeman. She married Kenneth Nicholson June 24, 1952. Kay was an avid reader of mysteries and westerns, she was quite creative - doing needlework of all sorts, as well as gardening. She throughly enjoyed the many hours spent with her bowling team. She was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church in Dickinson, North Dakota and treasured her many friendships there.
She is survived by her sister, Ada Weimer and children, Kerin (Jim) Bunstock and Kendall Nicholson. Grandchildren include Luke (Heather), Sam, and Stan Sticka, Lisa Sticka Hirooka, Cara (Jack) Roland and Jason Mordhorst, as well as Ashley Nicholson, Jason (Keri-Ann Drake) Mordhorst. Grandson Kristopher (Kimmie) Nicholson. Great grandchildren are Alisibeth (Alaina) Toliver, Janet Sticka, Gabriel Roland, Kay-Lei Mordhorst, and Reiji Hirooka, Kristen and William.
Kay was preceded in death by her brothers, Dorian and Gary, and her sister, Joy Weimer. Her husband, Kenneth also preceded her in death, as well as three of her children, Kathleen Mordhorst, Kent Nicholson, and Kristi Bachman.
Services will be announced at a future date.
