Kay was born November 20, 1941 in Saginaw to George Schafer and Edna (Bruske) Erdman.
She was united in marriage to Joseph D. Raleigh Jr on March 26, 1977 in Saginaw.
Kay enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting the casino, viewing QVC, reading and also watching the wildlife in the out of doors. She loved to treat herself to a weekly helping of Wesco popcorn and spending time with her family.
Kay is survived by her husband,Joseph and children: James Cohee, Robin Cohee, Timothy D. (Shawn) Cohee, Brian P. Cohee, Jacquline E. Stables and Joseph W. Raleigh, fifteen grandchildren, including T.J., Tyler, Trevor, Dominick, Stacia, Ethan, Kacey, Jared, Ashley and Stephanie and numerous great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters: Maxey (Michael) Morgan and Sally McQuaid and two nieces, Christina and Misty.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023 at the Young- Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Timothy D. Cohee officiating.
A time of visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time.
A graveside service will be at 3:00 pm, February 13, 2023 at the Roselawn Memorial Garden Cemetery in Saginaw.
The family is being served by Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City. Words of comfort and memories may be shared on www.holdshipfuneralhomes.com.
