Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Joan (Croft) Raleigh. Edwin held numerous jobs throughout his life; and was an avid animal lover.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, William Raleigh of Gloucester, RI; sister, Michelle (Raleigh) Keach of Aurora, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Sally Baily and Estelle McCoy.
Services were held privately.
