Kaydence Reese Clark, lovingly known as KK, Reese Cup, KD Bug or simply Kaydence; suddenly and tragically passed away on January 9, 2026 at the age of 19. Kaydence was born in Richlands, VA and was raised in the Tuscaloosa, Al area. Kaydence brought joy, kindness and a radiant spirit to everyone she met.
As a 2024 graduate of Sipsey Valley High School, Kaydence was pursuing her dream as a Cosmetology Apprentice at R&Co Salon. She was a member of Northport Church of God and loved spending time with her friends and family, listening to music, doing hair, makeup and nails. She had a deep love for animals. Kaydence lived with a generous heart and a desire to help others, touching everyone she met. Known for her bright smile, free spirit and warmth, Kaydence's kindness left a lasting impression on her family, friends and all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Tonya (Matt) Lane of Coker, Al; Josh (Jamie) Clark of Cedar Bluff, VA; siblings, Lliam Lane, Islee Lane and Kaycee Sanford of Coker, Al, Alex and Abby Lane of Fairmont, WV, and Skylar Carmody (Dave); fiancé, Jacob Pritchett Sanford; aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents including Megan Johnson and cousin Aira Brown of Irmo, SC; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Wanda Johnson of Lexington, SC and Steve and Linda Lane of Swords Creek, VA; paternal grandparents, Diana Johnson Roberts of Honaker, VA, Bobby & Diane Collins and Bill Pate of Coeburn, VA; great grandmother, Pat Sanders of Coeburn, Va.
Kaydence is predeceased by her beloved big brother, Gage Clark; paternal grandfather, Randy Clark and her maternal and paternal great grandparents.
Kaydence will be forever missed and never forgotten. Her laughter, light and love will live on in the hearts of her family, friends and all who were blessed to know her. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026 beginning at 3:00 PM at Northport Church of God, 2412 Lurleen B. Wallace Blvd, Northport, Al 35476.
