Kaye Linda Cunningham

Kaye Linda Cunningham was born on October 5, 1946 in Jasper, AL. She passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025 in Griffin, GA. The years of her life were filled with exciting and memorable moments.
She was the oldest of 5 children, daughter of Harmond Maurice Dessler and Grace Pittman Dessler. She grew up in Mobile, AL, moved to a couple more places before primarily landing in Tampa, FL. This is where she met her husband of nearly 57 years – James David Cunningham. They were married May 4, 1968.
Kaye and David had 4 children. 3 were born in Florida and the 4th in Georgia. They moved to the Griffin area of Georgia in the early 70's with the intention of being fulltime volunteer ministers and preachers. Being a member of the East Griffin Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Kaye took her faith very seriously and spent as much time as she could over the years preaching to her neighbors and sharing with them God's wonderful hope for the future from the scriptures. Many, many people came to know their God – Jehovah – because of Kaye's zealous ministry.
Kaye was known as a purveyor of gardening. She loved flowers and plants with a passion. This love of creation was perhaps only supplanted by her love of cats. Kittens specifically. All who knew Kaye understood the way to her heart was thru either of these methods! Of course, her greatest earthly love was that of her doting husband – David. Until such time that they can be reunited, her vast family consisting of her 4 children and their mates, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren will continue to support David and each other as we await the promise of Job 14:15: "You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands." We take great comfort in knowing that Almighty God and his son Jesus Christ will "call" to those asleep in death and they will "answer". What an amazing family reunion that will be!
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Jehovah's Witness Assembly Hall 125 Glenn Road NE. Conyers, Ga. 30013. The family will visit with friends from 1:00PM until 2:00 PM at the assembly hall.
