Born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, Keisha graduated from the Plainfield school district, where she was an energetic student with a big personality and a drive to succeed. In high school, she played basketball and was a proud cheerleader, always believing-and proving-that she could do anything she set her mind to.
Keisha had many dreams and passions. Though life brought unexpected challenges and her health began to decline, Keisha remained a fighter. She faced a long battle with illness that caused her pain and hardship, but never once did she let it take her spirit. Her strength, sense of humor, and faith carried her-and all of us-through even the most difficult moments.
Through it all, Keisha found joy and love. She met and married the love of her life, Brian Cabbell, who stood by her side faithfully through every trial. Their bond was strong and unbreakable, built on mutual love, respect, and devotion.
Keisha continued to chase her dreams despite her health struggles. She attended Robert De France Cosmetology School, where she excelled and graduated as one of the top stylists. Her creativity and passion for beauty were undeniable, and she used her gifts to make others feel seen and special.
Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. Even when her health kept her from attending church regularly, she never stopped praying, never stopped praising, and never stopped thanking God for each day she was given. Her relationship with the Lord was personal, powerful, and unshakable.
Keisha leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith. She is survived by her devoted husband, Brian Cabbell; her stepson Brian Jameel Cabbell; her granddaughter, Jaylein Cabbell; her brothers: Tyrone Prince (Karen), Derick Prince (Brian), and Vincent Rennie; her sisters: Kimberly Prince, Lisa Prince (Rick), Atisha Freeman (Steven), Bernadette Shingles (Spencer), and Bernadine Sanchez: her brother-laws Ralph Cabbell (Gloria), Steven Cabbell (Annette), Tracey Muhammad (Jerry) and Tyrone Cabbell (Sheila) and her sister-laws Cynthia and Sheila Cabbell.
She is also remembered by a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished and loved her deeply.
Keisha was a warrior-graceful, loving, and full of light. Her memory will live on in every heart she touched.
