Keith Auer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tabor Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Brighton on Apr. 26, 2025.
Keith Wade Auer was born June 12, 1963, in California to Chuck & Fran Auer, the oldest of 3 boys.
Keith was raised in Brighton, CO and graduated from Brighton High School in 1981. He went to work at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal where he worked in water treatment for 30 years. He met his first and only love, Peggy, in 1985 while he was cruising Bridge Street. They later married in May of 1991. Keith & Peggy welcomed their two sons Justin, in May 1995 and Aaron, in July 2001 and the boys quickly became their "one true love". He was a loving father who enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
Keith was an absolute avid outdoorsman who spent his life camping, fishing, hunting, riding dirt bikes and motorcycles. He loved pursuing his outdoor life with friends in Wyoming, Colorado and Utah.
He was always a joker and trickster, always after a good laugh. Keith never met a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. He kept in touch with everyone and would always reach out. He never called a friend that he didn't ask about their kids, grandkids and parents.
Everything Keith did was turned into a competition in one way or another; biggest fish, biggest elk, fastest bike/ATV and he always has to be the best at everything.
Keith is preceded in death by both of his parents and brother, Troy.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; sons, Justin and Aaron; brother, Steve (Jody), sister-in-law, Cerise and 5 nieces and nephews.
