WATERLOO - Keith Allen Harmes, 66, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his home in rural Waterloo, Indiana.
He was born June 20, 1958, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Richard Lee and Juanita Blanche (Sayles) Harmes.
Keith married Delsie May McClellan on Dec. 5, 1980, at Cedar Lake Church of Christ in rural Waterloo.
Keith was co-owner of Harmes-Faulkner Logging in Corunna. He then went to work for Metaldyne in Fremont, retiring after several years of service. He was very talented and after he retired, he enjoyed taking on different side jobs.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Hamilton Fish and Game Club and UAW Local 1395.
Keith enjoyed fishing, trapping, rabbit hunting with his beagles, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Delsie Harmes, of Waterloo; three children and their spouses, Tonia and Kenny Haskins, of Waterloo, Justin and Brooke Harmes, of Ashley and Dustin and Meagan Harmes, of Waterloo; nine grandchildren, Jayde and Haylee Haskins, Baylea, Walker, Lillie and Averie Harmes and Heidi, Meadow and Ryker Harmes; sister, Linda Martin, of Kendallville; and a brother, Mark Harmes, of Corunna.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deb Parshall; and a brother-in-law, Bill Martin.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with visitation from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pastor Paul Thomas Jr., will be officiating.
Burial will take place at Fairfield Cemetery in rural Corunna.
Visitation also will be from 3-7 p.m., on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the funeral home.
