Survivors: In addition to his wife, Eloise; children, Clyde S. Harmes IV and his wife, Jill of Morgantown, Candice L. Harmes at home; grandchildren, Nicolle, Clyde V, Nathan, Caleb, Joshua, Josiah; great-grandchildren, Judah, Hannah, Finley, Cole, Jenna.
Service: A private burial will be held at Union Cemetery of Slatington. No calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.

Hi Candi, I want to pass along condolences from my Mom, we are so sorry to hear about your loss. You won't recognize my name but you have been a good friend to my Mom Loretta this past year and I truly appreciate that as she is alone and doesn't get the chance to interact with others as often as she should. I know the loss of a parent is so difficult, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Clyde and I worked together at Lamm's Machine 20+ years. He was a very smart guy that showed me a lot of tricks of the trade. We built many ball valves back in the clean room, laughing and carrying on. I remember him telling me about eating scallops almost every day while working through college. All around a great guy. My deepest condolences to the family.

Dear Harmes Family: I would like to extend my deepest condolences in the passing of your Dad and Grandfather, Clyde. I knew Clyde and Eloise from being life long customers of Ironton Tele Co(retired CSR). We had the lovebug for cats and dogs. When your Mom would call I always heard the dogs in the kennel. There are no words to ease your pain, sorrow and heartbreak..may you find comfort in the memories that are yours to cherish always and strength in the companionship of those who share your loss. So sorry to hear of Clyde's passing. I worked with Clyde back in the 70's when I started my career. Along with Clyde's humor he taught me a lot back then. Rest well my friend, rest well.
