Born March 17, 1947, in North London, England, to the late Hugh and Ann Favell, Keith lived a life rich with purpose, curiosity, and good humor. A proud Freemason affiliated with Phoenix Lodge and Regents Park Lodge in England for 50 years, and Lexington Lodge in Kentucky, as well as a member of the Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights. Keith was deeply respected for his integrity, craftsmanship, and dedication to community.
His passions spanned both land and sky in England - from driving steam trains from Quainton in Buckinghamshire to flying light aircraft and a love for British cars. When at home, he found great joy in the serenity of his garden, where he tended the earth with patience and care. A man of many talents and trades, Keith could fix or create nearly anything, a true "do-it-yourself" gentleman whose ingenuity knew no bounds.
He was a keen Manchester United supporter, steam railway enthusiast and loved London. Here in Midway he enjoyed the company of his Saturday morning coffee friends known as the Saturday Old Boys or S.O.B.s.
Keith will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gillian Favell; his daughter Vanessa with grandchildren Monica, Katherine, William and Rosemary. And his son, Steven Favell (Debbie) of Toronto, Canada; with grandchildren Cameron, George, Harry and Freddy. And his brother Anthony Favell, Barnet, England.
He will be fondly recalled for his warmth, smile, wit, and unwavering love for family-a man who approached life with both skill and spirit.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Midway Christian Church, officiated by Dr. Rev. Heather McColl, with a gathering and reception in honor of Keith to follow. Family and friends are welcome to attend, and donations can be made to Midway Christian Church. Memories and messages of condolence can be written on Keith's tribute page.
