1966 – 2026
Stewartsville, Missouri……Keith Aaron Mallen, age 59, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026. Born on May 14, 1966, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Keith was the son of David and Martha Joan (Binstead) Mallen.
Keith was a graduate of Stewartsville High School, Class of 1984. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Missouri Western State University. Keith devoted 30 years of service as a correctional officer at Western Missouri Correctional Center a career he took great pride in.
In 1998, Keith married Terri Rowles, and through this union he was blessed with two children, Ray and Ashley Rhoades, whom he cared for deeply.
Keith found joy in life's quieter pleasures. He enjoyed reading, tending to his garden, hunting, fishing, and playing mini golf. Those who knew him will remember his calm demeanor, thoughtful nature, and the way he showed love through steady support rather than words.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Lurae Mallen.
He is lovingly survived by his children, siblings, nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Keith's honor may be made to an organization of donor's choosing.
