Keith Daniel McKay Burt, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Select Speciality Hospital with his family by his side. He was 64 years old. Keith was born on February 1,1961 in Livonia, MI, the son of James McKay and Sandra (Lemon) McKay-Kopp. Keith was united in marriage to the former Susan Yarbrough on May 16,1987 in Waterford, MI; she survives him. Keith was a good Catholic man and father to more than his own children and will be remembered for being extremely smart. He was a convert to the Faith in adulthood and in all the years since, sought to cultivate that priceless gift within those who were closest to him. He had many friends and acquaintances in the religious community. He was known as an excellent mini-golfer and enjoyed reading and watching movies.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Susan; three daughters: Melissa (Joshua) Gillard, Sara McKay and Juliana "Sister Mary Josephine" McKay; mother, Sandra McKay-Kopp; a sister, Marsha (Randy) Rush and several nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his father, James Daniel McKay.
A 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church, 7095 Kochville Rd., Freeland, MI 48623 with Rev. Fr. Daniel Ahern to officiate. Burial to follow at Ziegler Cemetery, Albee Township. Family and friends are welcome to visit the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. Saginaw (between Shattuck and McCarty), on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
