Anyone who knew Keith Robinson knew that wanderlust filled his soul. Keith loved to travel and explore the world. On October 6, at age 84, his passage was booked to his final destination to the Kingdom of God.
Keith is survived by his bride, and lifetime travel partner, Marilyn (nee Heidger). Keith was exceptionally proud of his daughters, and he will be deeply missed by: Karina Suprise (Scott), Kelanie Minten (Steven), and Kira McGinnity (Michael).
Keith was affectionately known as Pucky by his grandchildren and family gatherings will never be the same. Memories of his jokes and anecdotes will live on in the memories of his seven grandchildren: Philip (Laura) Suprise, Alex Suprise, Eisley Minten, Reilah Minten, Jack McGinnity, Gabriel McGinnity and Cavan McGinnity.
He is further survived by his sister, Donna Dohr, his brother Thomas, his extended family, neighbors and friends. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Keith positively influenced us all in so many ways. He wanted his children to share his enthusiasm for adventure. He encouraged higher education, personal and community commitment, responsibility, and to never forget to have a sense of humor. Certain expressions, qualities and experiences are known as Pucky-isms. He offered to do seminars for family members on how to turn off lights, close the doors and how to clear the fire lanes. His Irish music and cheerful whistling were outward signs of his happiness.
Keith's life's journey began on October 27, 1937, in Menasha. He graduated from Menasha High School and proudly served in the US Army. Keith and Marilyn married in 1962 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July of 2022, with family, a pinata, music and dance.
Keith and Marilyn have been active members of St. Patrick's Parish in Menasha for more than 50 years and were ushers together at the 8:30 mass. Keith volunteered for many years at St. Vincent De Paul in Neenah and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Family vacations were highly anticipated. Keith and Marilyn broadened their travel as they explored more continents. His bucket list was to visit all 195 countries. He filled three passports and those passports boast 140 stamps!
Keith loved the experience that every museum, church, castle or historical site provided. Equally memorable to Keith were the stops at hole-in-the-wall establishments for a cheap beer and meal. He never wanted the explorations to end. He spent countless hours organizing artifacts from their travels. Keith was well read and a humble genius about his vast adventures and was eager to share details about cultural, historical, political and military history with anyone who asked.
Keith and Marilyn shared many unique and unforgettable memories during their lives together.
They had no regrets about any of their life experiences or adventures. Happy trails, Keith, until we meet again!
In honor of Keith's wishes, a funeral will not be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a late date.
