Keith Allen Vance Williams, 66, of Springfield, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born in Springfield on November 19, 1956 to the late James A. Williams and Lorriece (Vance) Williams.
Keith, also known as Silk, lived life to the fullest. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He loved to make you laugh and would crack jokes at every chance he got. There wasn't a single place that we could say was his home, because he had so many. If you knew Keith, then you could truly appreciate the old saying "home is where the heart is" and Keith's heart lived with so many from all over-Springfield, Dayton, Columbus, and even Cleveland.
He had a joyous voice and loved to sing. Keith's warm heart, humorous personality, selflessness, and the love he shared with his loved ones will be missed the most. Keith had a way of naturally bringing out the best in others. He could sit and talk for hours, sharing the memories he felt were dearest to him, which usually involved stories about his family and friends. Although you have left this earth, you will never be far from our hearts. Your laughter, smile, and joy will be everlasting, and we will miss you and cherish your memory forever more.
Keith leaves to cherish his memory: two siblings, Wendy (Eddie) Ford, and Penny Williams both of Springfield, Ohio; aunt, Joyce Isley of Springfield, Ohio; uncle, Dale Vance of Columbus, Ohio; two nephews, Glen Williams, and Anthony Andrews; niece, Sheri Andrews; great-nephew, Jayden Williams; great-niece, Miah Andrews, all of Springfield, Ohio; two cousins and caregivers, Donald Smith and Patricia Smith both of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many friends and loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Vance, Sr.; grandmother, Mary Allen Vance; sisters, Vanetia Jean Bishop, and Kathy Williams; and brother, James A. Williams, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 in El Bethel Temple, 2049 Clifton Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
