Ms. Kelia Siplin of
Tampa, FL, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Revealing Truth Ministries Christian Center, 5201 N. Armenia Avenue,
Tampa, FL 33603, with Pastor Jomo Cousins, officiating. The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue,
Tampa, FL 33610.
Kelia Siplin was born and raised in
Tampa, Florida, to Jacqueline Dupree and Henry Lee Dupree Sr. She was the beloved sister of Yolanda, Henry Lee Dupree Jr., and Ursula Dupree-White. Kelia attended Robles Elementary School, Sligh Middle School, and graduated from Armwood High School in 1990. She later pursued studies at Hillsborough Community College.
A devoted mother, Kelia was incredibly proud of her children: Kiarah Siplin, Kenneth Siplin Jr., Ashley Williams, and Adrian Williams; and her grandchildren.
Kelia had a heart for people and a gift for service. She worked for the City of Tampa for 6 years as an administrative assistant, where she was deeply loved and relied upon, helping the team function smoothly in their day-to-day work. She also served her community through her work with Hillsborough County for 3 years.
Her passion for beauty and self-expression led her to earn her cosmetology license in 2004. She went on to build a long-standing career as a hairstylist, working for over 15 years at New Beginnings Hair Salon before branching out independently.
Kelia loved to travel, celebrated Black art, and was a true enthusiast of all thing's hair. She adored spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends, and family. Known for her gentle spirit and thoughtful heart, Kelia brought joy, laughter, and support to every room she entered. She had a special love for 90s R&B and reggae music and lived a life full of grace, style, and unwavering love.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Kiarah Siplin (Brandon), Kenny Siplin (Margaret), Ashley Williams, and Adrian Williams; grandchildren, Kassai Siplin, Jo'riel Bynum, Kenneth Siplin III, Malani Siplin, Kaison Simmons, Isaiah Mitchell, Brylee Simmons, and Brandon Simmons Jr.; Godchildren, Michael S. Sanch, and Jaidah Mack; parents, Henry L. Dupree and Jacqueline Dupree; siblings, Yolanda Prince (Daryl), Henry L.
