Kelli Megan McCoy

Kelli Megan Abshear McCoy, 47, of Farmland, Indiana, passed away on August 16, 2025 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 23, 1977, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Kevin and Beth Williams.

Kelli graduated from Union High School Modoc Indiana, in 1995. A talented athlete, she excelled in basketball, volleyball, track, and cheerleading, leaving a lasting mark both on and off the court. She went on to pursue higher education with determination and passion, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University East in 2000, her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2010, and completing additional studies at Indiana State University in 2012.

Kelli dedicated her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. She worked with Reid Health. She began her career in Mother-Baby care, where she compassionately served mothers and newborns for 12 years, before continuing her calling at Hagerstown Family Practice for 13 years as a Nurse Practitioner. Known for her kindness, professionalism, and unwavering commitment, Kelli touched countless lives through her work, leaving a legacy of compassion and healing.

Kelli's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Beth Williams; her grandfather, Donald L. Powell; her children, Baylee (Tiffany) Farmer, Mason Farmer, Carter Abshear, and Kimber Abshear; her sister, Amie (Nathan) Hardwick; and her nephews, Lukas, Garrett, and Brody. Donna ( Brad) Haggard, Jan Powell, Annette (Wayne) Miller and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents; Janet Powell, Kathryn Williams, Ralph and Erma Williams, who now welcome her with open arms.

Kelli will be remembered not only for her dedication to nursing but also for the love, strength, and grace she carried throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date so that family and friends may gather to honor and remember Kelli.
