Kelly Lynn Crittenden (Apodaca), age 62, passed away peacefully in her own home in Greeley, CO on March 24, 2024, less than 4 months after her cancer diagnosis, surrounded by loved ones. Kelly was born on October 27, 1961, in Denver, CO to her parents, Paul Apodaca Sr and Lenora Chavez.
Kelly grew up in Denver, CO and attended Alameda High School, she loved keeping in touch and reconnecting with the Alameda Pirate Crew of 1979.
Kelly spent the majority of her career in client relations and customer service, this work came easy to her as she genuinely cared about people and took interest in them, Conversations came easy to Kelly and she quickly developed a large network of lifelong friends, she loved connecting with friends and family.
Kelly really enjoyed listening to music and passed that on to her children. She loved cooking for her family and keeping the recipes alive from her mom and mother-in-law, her favorites to make were the enchiladas and green chili. Kelly also loved self-care pedicures with her daughter, going to the movies with her son, and playing games and reading books with her treasured grandchildren, she absolutely loved spoiling her kids and grandkids. Gift giving and words of inspiration were on the top of Kelly's list.
Kelly is preceded in death by her Mother, Lenora and her brother, Randy Chavez. Kelly is survived by her Father, Paul Apodaca Sr; her brothers, Phil and PJ Apodaca; her sister, Cindee Apodaca; her son, Jake Crittenden; her daughter, Jena Guerra; and her grandchildren, Jack and Jayla Guerra; as well as many cousins whom she loved dearly..
Kelly will forever be remembered by her warm smile and generous love; she will forever live in our hearts.

So many memories...not enough words..at age 83 I have experienced many losses through my years and it remains hard to accept the loss of one who still had so much to give. She loved her grandbabies, I regret that she was unable to remain with them and enjoy their growing up. God has His plan and Kelly's faith showed that she knew these things are in His time...not ours.

Kelly became a quick additional "grandma" to my daughter Ellie. She would send little gifts for Ellie to enjoy and affectionately allowed her to call her "grandma" since our family is far away in Texas. I had the pleasure of assisting Kelly with Jayla's baby sprinkle. Her love for her family and friends truly shined through. Every encounter with Kelly was full of authenticity and kindness. She fought hard and she loved hard. She's dearly missed. Rest in Heaven Kelly and feel no more pain. All my love to surviving family and friends. Heaven gained a beautiful angel.

My beautiful Aunt was one of the main people who supported my singing. I could always count on her to come see me sing karaoke. She loved when I would make videos for her on Facebook. Should always tell me about the time that I took a trip with her and David when I was little, and said that I would read to them.

I will forever cherish the movies my Great Aunt Kelly showed me, along with the soundtracks that go with them! I'm so blessed to have spent so much time with her
