With deep love and sorrow, we share the passing of Kelly Jo Donahue, who left this life on Thursday, June 5, 2005, surrounded by those who treasured her. Born on August 7, 1980, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Kelly's presence was a gift to all who knew her.
Kelly is survived by her devoted sisters, Carey Quick and Jennifer Redinger, along with a large extended family of nieces and nephews who she adored. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold T. "Joe" Donahue Jr., and her mother, Trudy L. (Townsend) Donahue.
Kelly had a unique and unforgettable way of expressing herself-often with just a glance or a perfectly timed look that said everything without a single word. Her personality came through in subtle, yet powerful ways. She could fill a room with warmth, humor, and meaning through her expressions alone. To her family, Kelly was a source of both joy and grounding. She reminded us of the importance of unconditional love, of being present, and of finding connection beyond words. Her life was deeply intertwined with those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the everyday moments we shared with her.
We will be forever grateful to Kelly's caregivers, who stood with us through every chapter of the last two decades. Their compassion, patience, and unwavering support meant more than words can ever express. We could not have walked this path without their steady presence and love, and they will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Funeral services for Kelly will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Visitation will be from 11AM until 12PM at Singleton and St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 7602 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A graveside service will begin at 12:30PM at Greenwood Cemetery, 620 W. Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46142.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kelly's name to Gateway Residential Services, in honor of the caregivers whose compassion and dedication reflected the love Kelly brought into the world, or to The ARC of Indiana, Attn: Remainder Fund.
Kelly's legacy will be felt always-in the hearts of her family, in the stillness of remembered glances, and in the laughter that her memory will forever bring.
