Kelly Coppedge Stonebarger, age 59, of Dallas, Texas passed away on February 11th, 2024 after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Kelly was born on December 13th, 1964 to Rex Dean Coppedge and Martha McGhee Coppedge in Shreveport, Louisiana. Kelly spent most of her childhood in Plano, Texas and went on to attend the University of North Texas. After graduating from the University of North Texas, Kelly moved to Dallas, got married, and began working in accounting. She then had two daughters, Shelby and Whitney. Kelly spent the following years attending every swim meet and dance competition, being her girls biggest cheerleader. Kelly worked tirelessly by volunteering for every PTA, PTO, City Council, Swim team, and Dance team parent volunteer group. Kelly will always be remembered by how she consistently gave back to her community and always put others before herself.
Kelly married her husband Anthony (Tony) Dean Stonebarger on July 9th, 2015 in Key West, Florida. Kelly and Tony met through their mutual love of swimming at 5:00am practices. After a brave Facebook friend request by Kelly, Tony invited her to a concert and the rest was history. Kelly and Tony enjoyed their time traveling together, going to concerts, trying new things, and spending time with their children. Kelly was also a proud member at Preston Road Church of Christ.
Kelly will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She lived every moment to the fullest and never let anything stop her from living an abundant life. Her hardworking, altruistic, and free spirited personality was evident in everything she did.
Kelly is survived by her loving husband Tony Stonebarger, daughter Shelby Little, daughter Whitney Smith and husband Colton, stepson Jake Stonebarger and wife Taylor, and stepson Truett Stonebarger. She is also survived by her brother Mitchell D. Coppedge and wife Lynne, sister Lee Ann Cheek and husband Scott, niece Samantha Coppedge, nephew Casey Coppedge, nephew Carson Cheek and wife Elizabeth, niece Riley Cheek, and numerous friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rex Dean Coppedge and Martha McGhee Coppedge.
A celebration of Kellys life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 18th at Preston Road Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas.
