David Andrew Stonebarger, 69, of Liverpool, NY, Fort Wayne, IN, Houston, TX, Elmira Heights, NY, Lima, Peru and everywhere in between passed away unexpectedly on November 5, 2023. He was born on November 14, 1953 in Iowa City, IA. He was predeceased by his father DeWayne Stonebarger, mother Mary (Crain) Stonebarger, and sister Janis Walsh. He was a graduate of Indiana University (1976 BSBA, 1981 MSBA) and worked at Franklin Electric, Bluffton, IN, Fort Wayne National Bank and Dresser-Rand Company in Olean, NY, Corning, NY and Houston, TX throughout his career. He always spoke to his friends and extended family of his grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud of and adored. He enjoyed travelling, hunting, fishing, bird watching, making his kids pick weeds in the yard, watching the news, and playing cards. He was a fan of the Astro's, Bears, and Indiana University Basketball. He is survived by his former spouse, Maria, a son Karl (Melanie), of Liverpool, NY, a daughter, Angela (Dickinson) Gould, of Charleston, WV, six grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Stonebarger Memorial Scholarship, through the Office of Development and Alumni Engagement, Purdue University Fort Wayne, 2101 East Coliseum Boulevard, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
