Kelly A. Zeigler, 65, of Erie, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born in Erie on January 26, 1960, a daughter of the late Ronald and Pearl (DeSimone) Mello.
Kelly graduated from Strong Vincent High School. She proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1982 until 1987. Kelly lived in Pittsburgh for a short time working at the Burger King in the mall. In 2006, she moved back to Erie to work at Wendy's and retired after 15 years, where she made many friends, especially Betty Jo, Cassie, and Brent. She began her relationship with Kenneth Zeigler in 2006 and then eventually married him in 2017. Kelly loved dogs, cats, and horses. Her favorite color was red. Kelly was warmhearted and sassy, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to all in need.
In addition to her parents, Kelly is preceded in death by her first husband, Martin Beaver; second husband, Kenneth Zeigler; step-mother, Gudi Mello; and many loved dogs and cats.
She is survived by her step-daughters, Stephanie and Miranda Zeigler; her sister, Kathryn Chiappazzi (Mario); step-sister, Debbie Marmolejo; nephew, Ryan Franz; niece, Anna Newcomer; great-nieces, Madalynn and Piper Franz; brother and sisters-in-law, Sylvia Newcomer (David), Dotty Zeigler, and Martin Zeigler (Mae); her cats, Richard and Junior; and many other family members and friends.
Friends are invited to gather at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Thursday, June 12th from 4 pm until the time of the Service there at 6 pm. The Service will be officiated by her nephew, Ryan Franz and Military Honors will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kelly's family through the funeral home.
