Kelton Sebek Obituary

Kelton Dave Sebek, age 62, passed away and went to meet Jesus on November 4, 2025.
Kelton lived loud - not just in volume, but in spirit. He was a man of simple stories, big opinions, and an even bigger heart. A proud graduate of Northbrook High School in Houston, he gave thirty-four years of his life to firefighting and saving lives with the Cy-Fair and Meyersville Fire Departments - and he did it with grit, guts, and attitude. Kelton didn't just fight fires - he led, he mentored, and he made sure everyone knew they were part of something bigger than themselves.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dainah Sebek, who matched his fire with her own strength and grace. Together, they raised three incredible children - Sarah, Kaz, and Cassie - who inherited their dad's boldness, humor, and fierce loyalty. His grandchildren - Steven, Joseph, Jaxon, and Autumn - were his pride and joy, and he made sure they knew it every chance he got.
Kelton was the son of Darrell and Christine, brother to Gavin (and sister-in-law Lisha) and Sherry (and brother-in-law Bill), and brother-in-law to Kenneth, John and Shannon, and Keith and Caren. He was also a proud uncle to many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Erik, his grandparents Jerry and Willa Sebek, and Alban and Constance Smith, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Daniel and Beverly Marshall.
He was the guy who'd show up early, stay late, and make sure the music was playing. The one who'd tease you mercilessly - and then defend you fiercely. Kelton had a strong enthusiasm for adventure, loved energetic pursuits, and felt most alive outdoors. Whether at social events or surrounded by family, his charisma filled every space he entered.
Kelton didn't live quietly, and he wouldn't want to be remembered quietly either. So raise a glass, tell a story, and laugh a little louder today - because that's exactly how Kelton would've wanted it.
