Kristen Leigh Alcott, 48, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on July 8, 2024 in Houston, TX. She was born in Houston, TX to Ivan and Debbie Roberson on January 22, 1976.
Kristen's life touched so many people through the many phases of her life. She was raised in Spring Branch just off of Alcott street. Growing up she loved orchestra, playing the piano, hanging out with friends, and playing with her many pets. She graduated from Northbrook High School as class of 1994 with honors. From high school she went on to study business at Texas A&M. Kristen is a proud Aggie. She cherished everything about A&M and never hesitated to tell everyone about the school that she loved. She is an 'ol Ag, class of '98. Whoop! While interning in college she met her soulmate Brian. From the minute they met they knew they were meant to be, forever.
Married in 2000, Kristen and Brian were committed to building a loving home. After having three amazing children, Alex, Emily, and Julia, they vowed to create a loving home where she would become a full-time mom. Through this journey Kristen developed into an incredible mother who loved spending time with her family and her two dogs, Gracie and Izzy. Dinner around the table every night became the norm. Through time Kristen became an amazing cook and her family spent special moments in the kitchen enjoying her cooking and endless love for them.
Kristen's family settled in Tomball where the kids went to school. As the kids became older, Kristen had time to pursue her teaching dreams and became a teacher at Lakewood Little People at United Methodist Church. As she taught it was easy to see that this was her calling. It was fantastic to watch her endless love for children pour into the classroom year after year. She taught at Lakewood for almost a decade. Even through the hardest times she did her best to be there for her kids. Both in the classroom and at home. Her beautiful spirit will live on forever through her friends, family, and all the people she taught.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Brian, her three children Alex, Emily and Julia, her parents Ivan and Debbie Roberson and her brother Matt Roberson.
The service for friends and family will be at 10AM on Thursday in the Sanctuary of Lakewood Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Klein Memorial Park-2920. We are also honoring Kristen with an uplifting joyous Celebration of Life on Saturday from 2PM to 4PM in Lakewood Methodist's Asbury Hall. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend. (Especially former pre-school Llamas, Turtles and Sloths).
Flowers are welcomed for the service. A lasting piece of playground equipment will also be donated to Lakewood Little People in Kristen's name. To make a donation click here and include the memo - 'Lakewood Little People- Kristen Alcott': https://lakewoodmethodist.org/give/
Kristen's family will be making a cross wall in their home to remember her. If you would like to donate a cross please bring it on Saturday.

I met Kristen at AIM in 1999 or 2000. Her kindness and bright big smile were the first impression I had for her. She always smiled and was so nice to everyone. It has been over a decade after we both left AIM. I still remember her voice clearly. She was like a bright beautiful light that lifted you up. She was one of my favorite persons at AIM, so easy to get along and so knowledgeable about her job. It saddens me deeply to learn about her passing. When I think of Kristen I think of her beautiful big smile and laughter. My deepest condolences, and may the memories you share bring you comfort and solace.
