Biography: Ken James He'bert passed away peacefully at his home in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 1, 2024. Ken was 68 years old. Ken was born November 4, 1956 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the oldest son of James He'bert, (deceased) and Ulicie Granier He'bert (deceased).
Ken is survived by his wife of 22 years, Betty L. Everett He'bert of Little Rock, Arkansas. Daughter, Emilie He'bert Baham (Derrick) and her four children: Jace McCutcheon, Aiden McCutcheon, Lena McCutcheon and Judith Baham. Stepdaughter, Terri Richards Neville (Scott) and her two children: Chaz Richards and Brianna Richards.
Two great-grandchildren: Blaze Richards and Riley Richards. Stepson, Emmit Richards (Heather) and his one child, Kayla Dinicola. One brother, Keith R. He'bert, born November 4, 1958 of Harvey, Louisiana. Brothers Ken and Keith shared the same birthday. Two niece's, Karli He'bert and Shanttae Grabert.
Ken loved his family and enjoyed being with them, especially on the beach.
Ken was an incredibly talented guitarist, who enjoyed learning new music and playing old classics. He had been in several bands throughout his life. Ken was a self-taught, talented artist who started drawing as a child. In more recent years, he enjoyed acrylic painting. He also dabbled in photography. He loved to travel, especially to the beach and tropical areas.
Ken served in the Louisiana National Guard and Arkansas National Guard and was deployed to Kuwait during the Gulf War Campaign. He worked at the Belle Chase Naval Base in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the Little Rock VA. Ken could figure out how to fix any machine, enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. Ken will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas. It is Ken's wishes that his ashes be scattered in rivers in Arkansas, Louisiana, and the Gulf of Mexico.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arkansas House of Prayer, 28215 Chenal Valley Dr, Little Rock, AR 72223; (501) 821-7773.
