Albany, WI – Ken J Henderson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 31, 2024. Son of Ivan and Jeanette Henderson, he was born October 5, 1948 in Racine, WI. He graduated from Union Grove High School in 1966 and went on to marry Carrie (Neumiller) in 1971. Ken was a devout follower of Christ, he enjoyed donating his time helping the youth groups at both Trinity Church in Union Grove, WI and St. Johns in Burlington, WI. He was a member of the Kingdom Workers and enjoyed all of the friendships and memories he made over the years with all the church activities he participated in. Ken grew up on a farm outside of Union Grove and loved it, participating in 4H long after moving away from his family farm, even pursuing a career that would work with farming firsthand. He was known as a leader in his community, always leading by example. Ken loved woodworking, being on the school board, and traveling anywhere he could, dragging Carrie along with him. Ken and Carrie are long time members of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Verona, WI, being members for over 18 years. Ken and Carrie are very thankful for the memories and friends they have made over the years.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, a brother James and sister Sue Ellen.
Ken is survived by his wife Carrie Henderson (Neumiller), children Ann (Kevin Kouba) Rule, Scott Henderson, Mark Henderson, Leo Henderson; siblings – Bill (Marie) Henderson, Joanne (Tom) Hanson, George (Penny) Henderson, Sally (John) Osenga, Randy (Sandy) Henderson, Mike (Jane) Henderson; as well as many loved grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews and many family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Verona, WI, (6705 Wesner Ln, Verona, WI 53593) on Friday November 8th, 2024 from 9am to 11am with a Memorial service to follow.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church. They would also like the thank the caring team at Agrace for their support over the past weeks.

I knew Ken as Mark´s dad, and I really liked him. Ken and Carrie made their home the go-to place for a group of us during high school, and I´ll always be grateful for the meals, patience, and leniency they showed to our little crew. Most of all, I´m thankful that Ken gave us the space to be our dumb teenage selves, while keeping us from straying too far off track. I can´t overstate how important that was for me.

One of my favorite memories of Ken was from a random summer day in high school. I got a call from Mark saying everyone was coming over to swim-girls, bikinis, oh boy! I made it to his house in record time! I arrived to a few pallets of roofing shingles and a bucket of hammers. No girls, no bikinis-just hard work and real-life skills. He fed us, he paid us, he taught us how to roof a house. That day was a lot of fun. I really liked Ken. My sincerest condolences to the Hendersons.

Ken was such a loving, kind man, who was such a teaser with a twinkle in his eye. He will surely be missed, but we will join him in that blessed home in heaven! May God grant his dear wife, Carrie and his family with peace and comfort in knowing that he is in Jesus arms.

Kenny was a great man and just a cool dude all the way around. His love of God, family, friendliness and sense of humor made him one in a million. The world will be worse off without him. I will catch up with Ken the other side in paradise.

May Almighty God comfort his beautiful family. They will surely see him again.
