Brodhead, WI - John "Johnny" H. Nafzger, age 72, passed away on February 6, 2025 while at the Monroe Hospice House in Monroe, WI.
Johnny was born on May 30, 1952 in Juda, WI, the son of Fred and Rosie (Lentz) Nafzger. He married Teresa Ann Bettner at the Union Oakley United Methodist Church on June 3, 1979.
Johnny was known as a gentle and caring man, but also a man of God. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Monroe. Johnny had many things in his life he enjoyed. He loved going to car shows and worked as a master mechanic for his whole life at his families shop in Juda. Johnny enjoyed a good joke and had his own witty sense of humor. He enjoyed gardening, sewing, listening and singing his favorite music and cutting wood for his wood stove at home.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Teresa of Brodhead; two children, Valerie Sepp of Fargo, ND and Vinnie Nafzger of Juda; two grandchildren, Renee and Reece Sepp; 6 siblings, Ralph (Sharon) Nafzger of Monticello, WI, Caroline (Stan) Hawkinson of Brooklyn, WI, Jim (Joanne) Nafzger of Albany, WI, Elizabeth (John) Lyons of Roscoe, IL, Roy (Karie) Nafzger of Juda and Lorraine (Scott) Blumer of Monroe and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Fred in 1970 and Rosie in 2008; one son, Victor in 1988 and two brothers, Stanley in 2008 and Fred in 2019.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Township of Jefferson Juda Community Center in Juda, WI on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM. A gathering will also be held at the community center on Sunday from 12:00 PM Noon until 1:00 PM.
Burial of cremated remains will be completed that day following services at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Juda.
