Kendra Lynn Davenport, 23, of Amarillo, TX passed away on August 16, 2023.
Memorial service will be at 6:30 P.M., Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. In honor of Kendra, the family requests that you wear bright, vibrant colors. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Kendra was born on May 11, 2000, in Amarillo, TX to Rick and Rose Davenport. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 2018 where she played the clarinet. She spent the majority of her teenage years working for Art Trek Studio where she taught and loved on all the customers. She was a very talented artist and teacher. This was her life's love. Kendra loved hiking and climbing 14ers, summiting her first 14er Mt Belford in Colorado at 16 years old. She had a great laugh and was happiest when her free spirit was shining bright. You would never see her trying to fit in. From all the different hair colors and styles of clothes to how she approached life. She marched to the beat of her own drum without a care in the world if others approved or not. She had a very unique personality and embraced and strove to never dim her spirit. Kendra was strong-willed and determined. If there was something she wanted to accomplish, nothing could stop her. She will be forever missed, a void in our lives that can never be filled. Our lives will be dull without her vibrant energy, and we will miss her laughter and unique views of this world. She kept us on our toes and as Cora said, life just won't be fun without her.
Kendra was a loved mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Donna Spake of Amarillo; and grandmother, Karen Landry of Amarillo.
Kendra is survived by her precious daughter, Cora Jane Glover of Amarillo, Texas; her brothers, Robert Vargas, and Tate Davenport; and her parents, Rick and Rose Davenport all of Amarillo, Texas.
A benefit account has been set up at Amarillo National Bank in Cora Glover's name.
