Kenneth (Ken) D. Alles, age 70, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, at Indiana University North Hospital after a long illness.

Ken was born in Jasper, IN, to Norbert and Margaret (Krodel) Alles.

He graduated in 1972 from Jasper High School, where he was a proud member of the Wildcats golf team. In the fall of that same year, Ken began his freshman year at Purdue University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree and became a lifelong supporter of his beloved Boilermakers.

After graduation, Ken worked at Jasper Engine and Transmission, and later at the Indianapolis Airport Holiday Inn, where he met his future wife, Patricia. In 1984, he joined American Trans Air (ATA), working on military contracts and accounts, which gave him the opportunity to travel frequently and attend several Purdue bowl games. Some of his proudest moments was taking his daughter, Jennifer, with him on these trips, sharing his love for Purdue with her as she would later become a fellow Boilermaker.

Ken later transitioned to Gexpro, working in inside sales until his retirement. Throughout his career, he enjoyed traveling, golfing, and staying connected with friends and family, especially during visits back to his hometown of Jasper. Whether it was golfing at the Jasper Country Club with his father, brother, or childhood friends, or attending reunions, Ken treasured his roots and the community he grew up with.

Above all, Ken's greatest joy in life was his daughter, Jennifer. He was a constant presence at Ben Davis and Purdue games, whether to support her as a cheerleader or to visit her while she was at school. Their bond was unbreakable, and Ken's love for his family was evident in everything he did.

Ken was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, qualities he developed growing up as the middle child of three on MacArthur Street in Jasper. His laughter and infectious spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Ken is survived by his wife, Patricia Alles; daughter, Jennifer (Branden) Renner; grandsons, Luke and Logan Renner; sister, Toni Alles; brother, Tim Alles; and nephews, Samuel and Mitchell Alles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodland Country Club, 100 Woodland Lane, Carmel, IN 46032, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Purdue For Life Foundation in Ken's honor. Donations can be made online at: [email protected] or mailed to Purdue Foundation, 403 W. Wood Street, West Lafayette, IN 47907.

Ken will be missed by all who knew him, but his memory and the impact he made will live on through his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.
