Kenneth Alton Baker Sr passed away peacefully at Unity Medical Center on June 25, 2025, due to a brief illness. Kenneth was born on July 19, 1937, in the Rutledge Hill Community to father, James David Baker Sr. and Cullie Irene Warren Baker. Kenneth was a farmer, a hauler of milk, and dairyman in his early years. However, Kenneth's interest and hobby was to buy and sale livestock that were mostly sheep and goats which he always enjoyed doing. Kenneth could always be seen at the Coffee County Livestock Market when he got a chance when he was off work and after he retired, he was at the Coffee County Livestock Market on Tuesday's and later Friday's when the sheep and goat sale was going on. In addition to his early jobs and hobbies, Kenneth worked and retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Kenneth was a loving father who loved his family dearly and a kindhearted man who was willing to provide a helping hand to people who were in need in the community. Kenneth could be described as basically a "good man." Kenneth had a friendly smile and made friends very easy. Kenneth will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 66 years Peggy Elliott Baker of Estill Springs, daughters, Sherry Plante of Winchester, Terry Dziadkowiec (Matthew) of Hillsboro, Gina Jarrell (Brian) of Morrison, and one son, Kenneth Alton Baker Jr (Christy). Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory 4 grandchildren, Cory Dziadowiec, Tanner Jarrell, Olivia Plante, and Thomas Baker. Kenneth leaves behind one sister-in-law, Anita Baker, Hillsboro. In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by a brother, James David Baker Jr, and a twin brother and sister who died in infancy, Dennis Wayne Baker and Anna Jane Baker.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 1:00pm at Rutledge Hill Cemetery with burial to follow.
