Tex was in the class of 1970 and I was in the class of 1969. Our high school was special. We had college level teachers. We tended to form lifelong friendships. We were "NASA brats" who moved to the Bay Area from all over the country. Most of our dads worked at the Johnson Space Center. This is cropped from my group class photo. We were ready to blast out of there!

More memories of Tex and Nassau Bay and our reunions.

Tex was a very close friend in high school. We attended Clear Creek High in League City TX during the late 60s. We lost touch after high school, but we saw each other at the Clear Creek Light Circus reunions. They were held every ten years, in the Bay Area near our school, beginning in 1998 and ending in 2018. They were off-the-grid gatherings which were free to attend and open to all classes who attended Creek.
Tex never seemed to age. He never got fat and he was always a bright light at our cosmic gatherings.
His smiling face - at nearly all of our reunions- made them feel extra special because Tex was extra special. The last time I saw Tex was at my official 50th high school reunion in 2019.
Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
