Bonaire, GA – Kenneth Bryant, 87, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at The Lodge in Warner Robins, GA. Services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11:00 am at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, 270 State Rd 2335, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. The family will greet friends immediately following the services.
Kenneth was born on July 14, 1936, in Wilkes County, North Carolina to the late Walter and Doretha (Jordan) Bryant. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Kenneth went on to retire from Continental Company, where he was a Quality Control Supervisor. In his spare time, Kenneth loved to shop for a bargain. He enjoyed shopping so much that he was known by name at the department stores. Kenneth was an avid sports fan, specifically North Carolina Tar Heels basketball and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Kenneth was also known as a very meticulous person, even to the point of unwrapping gifts without tearing the wrapping and neatly folding it when he was done. His yard was also in immaculate condition, another example of his meticulous nature.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Michelle Parker of Bonaire, GA, and Lori Holloway (Mark) of Macon, GA; two grandchildren Jordan Holloway of Athens, GA and Taylor Holloway (Kellie) of Mableton, GA; two great grandchildren, Winry and Callum Holloway; sister: Mary Maines of Summerfield, NC.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

I remember being very young, about 4 years old. We'd gone to Bonaire to visit Poppie (as I know him). It was either Thanksgiving, or Jordan and I were just there for a visit. Poppie called me to the dining room; he has something special for me to try - wanted to know what I think about it. From the fridge he grabbed a bright red can of Coca-Cola. A depiction of Santa on the front indicated Christmas was coming. I'd never seen one before. He cracked it open, and I had my very first taste of soda. It was ice-cold, the bubbles were harsh at first, and the taste was quite different. It was such a special moment as we shared that can. He chuckled as we took turns sipping. To this day, Coke remains a special indulgence for me. Every can, bottle, or cup takes me back to that moment full of happiness and excitement. That red can of ice-cold, bubbly beverage was a treat for just us. He loved to spoil Jordan and me with little things like that. We'd have these little moments that were just between us. Combined with his desire to shower gifts on us at Christmas and birthdays, he was "Santa" to us.

Ken was my first cousin but he was more like a brother to me. I have so many fond memories of him not only as a child but as an adult. Ken had such a beautiful contagious laugh, you could not help but join in and laugh with him. I will miss Ken dearly and I am so thankful that I have a lifetime of memories of my very special cousin. Ken, Peace Be With You. With love, Pam
