Kenneth Roaland Cannady, 83, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Batesville, Arkansas.
He was born in Black Oak, Arkansas, on October 15, 1940, son of Clarence Odell and Vera Marie (Ward) Cannady. Kenneth was united in marriage to Mary Alice Coleman on December 15, 1962, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and to this union three children were born. Kenneth served our country in the United State Air Force. During his working years, Kenneth was an accountant for IBM and then later an auditor for the state of Arkansas. He loved his church and was a faithful member of the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas. Kenneth enjoyed music and was a sports enthusiast who especially loved the St. Louis Cardinals. His most favorite times were spent with his family.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Mary Cannady of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; son, Greg Cannady of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughters, Karen Rogers (Biff) of Corinth, Texas and Sharon King (Joe) of Grand Prairie, Texas; sisters, Shelba Costin and Joy McGuire (Bob); grandchildren, Colby Rogers (Alexandra), Harrison King, Blake Rogers and Joshua King (Ashley); great granddaughter, Evelynn Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Hubert Cannady
Pallbearers include: Colby Rogers, Harrison King, Blake Rogers, Joshua King, Biff Rogers and Joe King
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Doty Family Funeral & Memorial Service Chapel in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, beginning at 10:00 AM with Bro. Mike Yates and Bro. David Gibson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at 2:00 PM.
