Kenneth Hugh Clark, 84, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Carepartners Solace Center.
A native of Madison County, he resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was the son of the late Hugh Alvin Clark and Velda Taylor Clark, and husband of the late Sara McCrary Clark who passed away on September 26, 2007.
Kenneth was a 1959 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School and was a US Army Veteran. He was well known for his hard work and deep love for his family, especially his wife Sara. He enjoyed being outdoors riding his motorcycle and fishing. In his later years he spent his winters at his home in Lake Okeechobee, Florida. He attended Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Kevin Clark and wife Jocelyn, and Kenyon Clark and wife Molly; grandchildren: Lydia, Seth, Josephine, Liam, and Sofia; and many extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Sprinkle officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 till 1:45 PM on Monday at the funeral home immediately prior to the service.
The Clark family extends a special thank you to Virgina Taylor for her longtime friendship and care.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Rd, Asheville, NC 28806.
